WW Progress Charts

I was doing some messing around on photoshop this morning and thought I'd add these:

This is my total progress since starting back in Feb 2007. As you can see, I have not always been the perfect little Weight Watcher!

Milestones acheived so far:

My Progress this year:

You can clearly see where I became focused again! Hopefully the rest of my graphs will be less bumpy.......

10%!!!

I finally got there!! I lost 1lb at wi and got my 10% keyring!! It feels like it's taken forever, but somehow that doesn't matter anymore. I really wasn't feeling confident about a having a loss at all this week, as I haven't exercised as much as in previous weeks and my tracking hasn't been 100% perfect, but overall I have been making healthy choices 90% of the time, which has obviously made the difference! My other proudest achievement this week was on Saturday, which was a girls night out for one of my mates birthdays. The mate in question didn't end up going though, as her nan sadly passed away earlier that day, but she wanted the rest of us (3) to go out and have a good time as it had been arranged for weeks and everyone had really been looking forward to it. I felt a bit weird about it, but went along, as we were going for a Balti first and I expected it to just end up with us just having the meal and going for a quiet drink somewhere afterwards. How wrong I was! Luckily that night I had offered to drive -a good start! At the balti house I had a poppadom and abit of mango chutney, chicken tikka & salad for main, with a saag bajee, a little of my mates rice (which we planned to share, but I ended up having hardly any of) and a couple (literally!) of chips. I also drank several cans of sugarfree Redbull during the meal. After that we ended up going into town and spent most of the night in a bar which we had frequented in our youth. I normally avoid it like the plague, as I hate everything about my hometown, including the majority of chavites who reside there. However, there was a really good vibe there, and I spent hours on the dancefloor bouncing around and having a brilliant time. I think the Redbulls must have really kicked in, as my two mates who were drinking had to drag me away from the dancefloor to take them home! And at only 1am!! Pair of lightweights!! At least I know now that I can have a really brillant lowish point, booze free evening! Excellent! ;-)

Weekend in Bath & Lucky Escape..

I realised I haven't posted for a while, but I think that is mainly because nothing momentous has happened on the weight loss front really. Last weekend I went away for a long weekend in Bath, and missed my thursday wi beforehand, so that was not a great start! I had been good in the week leading upto it, so I think I should have lost, but I wasn't even tempted to have a sneaky peek, so I guess I'll never know for sure if I did. Even during the weekend in Bath, I don't feel I went overboard, although I didn't track.. I said no to the Full English breakfast for 3 mornings running - first time ever in a holiday situation!! - Instead I had a bowl of mixed fresh fruit with a little bit of yoghurt, and scrambled eggs on toast (with baked beans on the last morning). I had a few nice meals out in the evenings, including a veal escalope, and a thai chicken curry. I had one really crap meal which I utterly regret and only ate because I was so hungry at the time - it was a chicken, bacon and bbq melt with chips - probably the most unhealthy of all the meals and I didn't even enjoy it. The cheese was a crappy cheese slice that wasn't even melted and the chips were burnt and greasy...yuk. Looking back, I can't believe I put it in my mouth!! Oh well. It was my intention to get back to the exercise and tracking as soon as I got home on Monday night, but that didn't happen! It's almost as if I thought to myself "I've been really good in Bath, so I deserve a treat!". So wrong, and so stupid! So when it came to wi this week I wasn't feeling optimistic. However, I managed to pull off a 0.5lb loss! I don't know how or why, but I am so relieved. I was so worried that I would be back in the 19's again and I really didn't want to be!! So now I am just 1lb away from my 10%! I realise that this week i'm going to have to work doubly hard to get that 1lb loss and make sure that last weeks slip up doesn't catch up with me!!

Off to watch biggest loser on catch up now for a bit of a motivational boost!!

2 Stones Gone!!! :-D

Finally!!! All of my hard work has paid off and I lost 3lbs today at WI. I am so happy, particularly after gaining 0.5lbs last week and was so annoyed I couldn't bring myself to post about it on here. :(
So now I weigh 18st 11.5lbs, so I am finally into the 18s for the first time in over 5 years!!! Yay!!Not only that but I also hit my 2st goal!! Double Yay!! My 10% goal is now only 1.5lbs away, and although in a normal week of tracking and exercising I would hope to achieve that, I'm not going to set my heart on it. Firstly because I know my TOTM is approaching and secondly because i'm going out with the girls on saturday. Although I have been saving points and exercising this week in preparation and plan to stay sensible, I know in practice that it doesn't always work out that way.....

Weigh In Result - STS :-S

I suppose after a loss of 6lb last week was not a total shock. I am a bit miffed though, as I have tracked everything religiously and earned 20bps and only used half of them! The only thing I can think of that may have been lacking was the water intake. Will have to monitor that more closely this week. And maybe up the exercise as it did kind of diminish after Sunday this week. I think I have been coming down with something, as I keep on waking up with a sore throat. So really didn't feel like going swimming at 7am a couple of times this week, which I would otherwise have done. I won't be able to go swimming in the morning for another month now, as next week I swap back to my early shift which is 07.00-15.00, but will hopefully make up for it as I will be able to get to a variety of other classes, like body pump, and studio cycling. I may even try a body jam class (it's dance based apparently) and of course there's my absolute fave - AQUATONE!! I should be able to get to all 4 classes in theory when I'm on earlies, though the friday night one usually gets bumped off if I have some socialising to do!!

So, I'm generally being philosophical about my lack of weight loss this week, and will be doing all that I can to make sure that I WILL see a loss at the scales next time!

It would have been nice to lose just 0.5lbs though to get me into the 18's for the first time in years!! Grrrr.. but like i've said......there's always next week!!

Weight Loss Ticker

I decided to add a weight loss ticker to my blog, in addition to my long list of mini goals. At the moment the ticker only shows roughly up to my half way point (about 5 Stone). As I progress I will change it to reflect my ultimate goal weight. I still don't know what I want that to be. At my slimmest, when I was 18, I weighed about 11 stone. However, I just checked what my BMI would have been, and it was 25. Right at the top of the healthy range. I think maybe this time around I would to set the bar a little lower, as with the slightest hiccup I would be back in the overweight category...It's bad enough being obese (morbidly) now!!! Maybe my ideas on this will change when any kind of goal is in sight..

But for now, I thought i'd be nostalgic and add some photos of how I used to look when I was slim and young and the world was my oyster (and how i'd like to look again, although older and much more cynical! Lol):

God I loved these jeans! They are size 14, and I still have them somewhere!! One day they will fit again!!!
Me at my 6th Form Leaving Do
Me and a random guy from my shady past....lol

WI Shocker!!! :-)

At WI this evening I hopped on the scales to find that I had lost 6lbs!! I was quite shocked, even though I was sure I had lost some, I was't expecting it to be quite that much!! My friend who joined last week lost 4.5lbs too, which is brilliant. However, I did feel slightly guilty about it. She did seem a bit disappointed when I told her how much I had lost. I suppose she may have felt that her 1st wi was eclispsed by mine. Or maybe I'm just being to sensitive and reading far too much into things. I tend to do that! Anyway, I don't feel guilty now, because I know I worked bloody hard this week, and although it was a bit of a surprise, I feel that it was well earned! I have tracked obsessively now for the last 3 weeks - a consistency which I have never managed before now. I have also done more exercise than ever before since starting WW. I have worn my pedometer every waking moment and recorded the activity points accordingly. Despite all of this, I have not been puritanical about things- During the last week I have enjoyed a chinese takeaway, alcohol, and even a large portion of chicken kebab meat and chips! All in all I have just been living my life, and enjoying it. I think the penny has finally dropped - I can actually do this, and quite well it seems, without suffering!
So that was 2 goals achieved in one week: I collected by 3rd silver 7, and hit my 25lb target!
Now I need to lose 0.5lbs to get into the 18s (yay!), 2.5lbs to get my 4th silver 7 - 2 Stone target!, and 3.5lbs to get my 10%. I am literally raring to go!!! Woooohooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
